Meet The Faculty

Monica Rynes:

Owner/Director of RC Dance.  Monica began her training at age 3 in Milwaukee where she studied tap, ballet, jazz, modern, and gymnastics for 15 years. She received her BA in Communications with a minor in dance from UW-Stevens Point. Throughout her dance career she has performed with the dance company "Young America", received summer scholarships with Giordano Jazz Company of Chicago, Joseph Holmes Dance, and has studied with many great names, Henry LeTang, Joel Hall, Randy Duncan, and James Moore to name a few. Along with dance she was also a competitive gymnast for 8 years. She began teaching dance & gymnastics when she was 16 years old in Milwaukee and continued through college. She is very involved in the community of Richland Center and has worked with the Southwest Community Players helping with choreography for many years. Monica is married to Mike Rynes, owner of RC Truck & Auto in Richland Center, and has three children, Adam, Abby, and Ellie. Her goal is to provide quality classes for children and give them the opportunity to experience dance while growing into self-confident, happy, healthy adults.  Currently in her 26th year with RC Dance. 

Emma Ruetten:

Emma started dancing at RC Dance at age 3 taking tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, and gymnastics. Emma attended HS at RCHS and was very involved in cheer and also assisting dance classes.  Emma graduated from UW-Madison in 2023 with a BA in Dance.  Her studies with numerous faculty have really helped our jazz and contemporary program at RC Dance grow.  Emma teaches many of our tiny dancers and beginner - intermediate dancers.  She also assists in several of our advanced classes.  Emma absolutely loves everything dance and goes above and beyond for her students.

Student Demonstrators/Assistants:

Along with our lead techers RC Dance employs several class assistants to help with our younger classes.  All of our helpers meet certain criteria and help us maintain structure and balance in the classroom.
